I’m a Victoria-based photographer with 25 years of experience documenting events across Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, and Western Canada.
With a background in photojournalism, I focus on capturing authentic images as events unfold, working seamlessly alongside event planners, production crews, and communications teams.
Background & Experience
Beginning in 2001, my approach to event photography was built over a decade in newsrooms, covering stories, sports, and breaking news for daily newspapers and wire services including The Canadian Press and Reuters.
In 2011, I transitioned into marketing and communications as a staff photographer for the University of Victoria, bridging my editorial background with PR, media relations, and corporate photography.
Since establishing Geoff Howe Photography in 2013, I’ve brought that photojournalism and marketing experience to corporate, conference, and public-sector clients across British Columbia, providing comprehensive coverage that tells the story of your event.
