The Vancouver Stanley Cup Riots

I was on assignment for The Canadian Press covering the thousands of people gathered near Rogers Arena to watch the game.

Shortly after the final buzzer, a segment of the crowd became unruly, resulting in vehicles being overturned and set on fire, storefronts and businesses damaged, and confrontations with police in riot gear over several hours in the city’s core.
